Maxwell Neale - Artist

Maxwell Neale is a painter, photographer, teacher, framer and restorer. Formally trained at Lincoln College of art and Sheffield School of Art and Design, from where he received a Dip AD in Fine Art, Maxwell has been a professional artist since 1976 and has produced a large body of work. As a painter he works principally in watercolour and oils. Much of this is commissioned work and he has produced pieces for Dunlop Tyres (Calendar 2001), 9th/ 12th Royal Lancers, Newark and Notts Agricultural Society, Newark Advertiser, Newark Town Council as well as many portraits of people, pets and houses for private individuals.

From choice the subject matter for Maxwell’s paintings is varied and includes old buildings, ornamental gardens, continental scenes, human and animal studies and agricultural subjects mainly in watercolour or oils with a small amount in pastel and pencil.
