Susan Isaac has had work selected for the first Harley Open Exhibition, 'H is for ...'.

Work by 117 artists was selected from about 700 entries. The selectors were Shauna Richardson, (East Midlands 2012 Cultural Olympiad Artist), Abi Spinks (curator at Nottingham Contemporary) Keith Logan (owner of Gallery Top) and a Gallery visitor.

Up to 2nd Feb, visitors to the exhibition could vote for their favourite entry to win the People's Prize of £250. Other prizes to be awarded are the Harley Prize of £750 and the Judges Prize of £250 (sponsored by Welbeck Estates Company). The winners were announced at a prizegiving party on 5 Feb, 12 noon - 2pm (open to all, free entry).

The winner of the People's Prize, voted for by visitors to the exhibition was Aran Illingworth – ‘Homeless’. Runners up were Simon Carter – ‘Hidden’, Susan Isaac – ‘Historical Juxtaposition’, Phil Lockwood – ‘High View of the City’, and Marcel Walker – ‘Home from Home’.

The Harley Gallery, built in 1994 on the site of the nineteenth century gasworks for Welbeck Estate, provides exhibition space for the work of contemporary artists and makers. Open daily 10am to 5pm.
